Italy after the elections has a priority: the agenda that will be set up will be proposed by many associations as an agenda that focuses on sustainability.
Beyond the political outcomes, the alignments and what will come out in the field, it is legitimate to expect the incoming government to pay the utmost attention to one of the hot topics of our time: the environmental agenda.
There are fifty ideas that, if adopted, can represent a turning point for our country, putting environmental sustainability at the center of a strategy capable of giving us a new and lasting model for development.
A strategy that must combine environment, economy, work and society, thus acting on energy, waste, agriculture and industry 4.0
The facts are clear: 355 thousand Italian companies in the industry and services have invested in green products and technologies (according to the Green Italia 2017 report by Fondazione Symbola and Unioncamere). ISTAT reports that 51.9% of Italians are seriously worried about climate change.
Therefore, the agenda that will be presented to the Government in Italy after the elections consists of 50 ideas divided into 18 areas of intervention, among which are:
the drafting of the National Climate and Energy Plan which leads to achieving the 100% renewable target by 2050
the launch of the National Mobility Plan, which has been expected since 2001 with the aim of promoting clean mobility (bicycle, electric cars)
the shift from theory to practice of the concept of sustainable development over 30 years after the publication of the Burtland report
“The legislature that has just ended is the one that has approved the highest number of environmental laws of parliamentary initiative. The next Parliament will have a rather heavy task: to do better than this legislature that in Republican history was the best under this point of view “, explained Stefano Ciafani, general director of Legambiente, in an interview with Adnkronos.
