Farnborough International Airshow is held on July 21st and 22nd in Hampshire (UK).
This year the edition is definitely full of interesting events and peculiarities that will once again make the experience unique for those who love flying: fun, access to cutting-edge technology and a breathtaking show.
Meanwhile, the presenters of the event have been confirmed: Angelica Bell is the winner of Celebrity Master Chef and a star in the UK thanks to the program that presents, The One Show.
The spectacular part will also be proposed on mega screens to allow all participants to be at the center of the action.
The collaboration with Winchester Science Center has guaranteed for 2018 at the Farnborough International Airshow the possibility of hosting a series of interactive exhibits, live shows and a mobile planetarium that will allow traveling through the galaxy: an area dedicated to Space that will reveal all that we know until today on the solar system.
The pavilion dedicated to the Brooklands museum will host a selection of vintage aircraft.
The Futures And Innovation area will also be present at Farnborough International Airshow this year, where the innovative technology used for the set-up presents the careers and opportunities available in the aerospace sector.
This year at Farnborough International Airshow particular care was taken towards the next generations. Schools, colleges and universities were opened for the opening on the day of 20 July called Futures Day. The opportunity for students is to meet the experts in person and understand how STEM materials are used by industry. In addition to this, the boys have privileged access to the Farnborough International Airshow prior to its opening to the public.
Andrew Pearcey, Group Marketing Director for Farnborough International says:
“This year’s show is packed full of high-quality attractions; it’s a real mix of innovation and nostalgia, with vintage exhibits alongside the very latest technology.
“I hope our visitors have a lot of fun and feel as though they’ve enjoyed a great value day out especially as children under 15 can come in for free. From history, through to space and science; there’s much more to the Farnborough Airshow than the jets and jumbos.”
2018 marks 70 years since Farnborough first began hosting the Airshow; and to celebrate the centenary of the RAF, the RAF 100 is the show’s official charity partner.
In the week before the public weekend, the Airshow hosts the global aerospace industry at a trade event which is confirmed as the most international yet. Coming just 37 weeks before Brexit, countries including China, Japan and the US will be vying for business alongside a significant European presence from Germany, France and Spain.
Summer 2018 will see the Farnborough Airshow as a highlight in events calendars throughout the UK. A multi-billion dollar business event that culminates in a fun-packed weekend of legendary flying displayed in the sky, and the very best in science, technology and innovation on the ground.
