The title of the Forum is emblematic: “Italian manufacturing experience in the transition to 4.0: technologies and skills”.
The 35 partners were able to meet the interlocutors and exploit networking moments as well as deepen the three presented strands in the conference sessions.
Below are the statements by the President of the Meccatronica Group, the Vice President of Marketing & Events, Messe Frankfurt Italia and the Professor of the Polytechnic University of Milan, who is responsible for mapping the Mechatronics Skills.
Sabina Cristini, President of the Meccatronica Group: “The aim of the day is to underline that the technologies are available and guarantee opportunities along the whole value chain, allowing to obtain results in terms of competitiveness and productivity. The interaction between the subjects of the supply chain becomes important; as a Mechatronics Group we have created this experience of sharing and stimulation in itinerant mode, comparing ourselves also with the academic world and the territorial technological districts. ”
Francesca Selva, Vice President of Marketing & Events Messe Frankfurt Italy: “Forum Meccatronica is one of the meetings of a busy Messe Frankfurt Italia calendar that makes interlocutors belonging to different areas of expertise dialogue, encouraging the contamination between experiences as a lever for innovation. From this perspective, the event dedicated to Mechatronics was born, as well as the E2 Forum for the elevators, escalators and building automation sectors (24-25 October); Industrial Software Forum dedicated to software solutions for industry (6 February); SPS IPC Drives Italia, the automation and digital fair for industry (Parma, 28-29 May 2019) and the Telecontrol Forum for public utility networks (October 2019). ”
Giambattista Gruosso, Professor of Polytechnic University of Milan and curator of Mappings of Mechatronics Skills: “The trend, already noted in previous editions of the survey, is that of a growing awareness on the role of automation, innovation and digitalisation in the framework of Industry 4.0. Research and development spending is growing, which is the backbone of Mechatronics 4.0. ”
