Formnext 2018 presented a decidedly dynamic development.
In addition to continuing its growth by imposing itself as a reference point for companies in many industrial sectors related to the additive manufacturing, Formnext is an unmissbale appointment this year.
In the conferences held in Frankfurt, Formnext 2018 deputy headquarters, ideological leaders of the AM sector gather together with industry users to discuss current developments with an eye to the ideas for the future.
Italy is traditionally one of the most important countries in terms of presence and this year the Italian team is definitely nourished. There are more than 20 companies in Frankfurt, including the best exponents of 3D printers, CAD-CAM solutions and analysis methods for quality assurance.
Among the names also HTS Vacuum Furnaces, Italian leader in research and development of new technological solutions.
The Formnext 2018 edition also follows the evolution and innovations of the sector, expanding the product categories and the offer of products related to the entire production process chain.
“This means that we will present the whole process chain of modern industrial production in an even more intense and complete way,” says Sascha F. Wenzler, Formnext vice president for the organizing body, Mesago Messe Frankfurt. “In addition to the already strong additive manufacturing sectors (hardware, materials, etc.), we have enhanced the areas of software and post-processing (for example, for dust removal, surface processing or heat treatment) and complex industrial production of tools. “Additive industrial production requires a wide range: from design to work preparation, from forming processes to surface processing and quality assurance,” explains Wenzler.
The development of recent years has confirmed that these ‘pre- and post-processing’ represent a considerable component of added value. “For us, as organizers of Formnext, it is therefore of fundamental importance to present these market developments at the fair and to show visitors the future trends of the event and the complete solutions for their modern production”.
